Recipe shared by Michigan 2019 Teen “Chopped” Competition contestants. 

Ingredients:

  • 5 Tbsp. Butter
  • 10 Tbsp. Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tsp. Basil
  • 8 Eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. Heavy Cream
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 3 Cups Kale
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1/3 Cup Whipped Cream
  • 1 1/2 Tsp. Parsley
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 
  2. Mix melted butter and breadcrumbs, put in bottom of greased pan. 
  3. Mix eggs, heavy cream, onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper and add kale. Add mixture to pan. 
  4. Bake for 15-30 minutes until middle is firm. 
  5. Whip whipping cream to stiff peaks. Add in salt, garlic, and parsley.
