Eastern Market – Detroit, Michigan

Located right in the heart of Detroit, Eastern Market has been nourishing the local community since 1891. This market is a six-block city square that hosts over 250 vendors weekly that bring everything from fruits and vegetables to fresh-cut flowers and meat. Crowds of thousands flock every week to this historic place to get a taste of Michigan. The market is open year-round from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. While visiting the beautiful downtown Grand Rapids, you’ll want to make a visit to the Fulton Street Farmers Market! The market has been running since 1922 and has connected farmers and artists to the community for generations. Farmers Market at the Capitol – Lansing, Michigan

Each year the Michigan Farmers Market Association hosts three Farmers Market at the Capitol events to showcase Michigan food and agricultural products to community memebrs and the state decision-makers. The market hosts vendors of all products and goodies and has an array of food trucks to choose from all on the east lawn of the Michigan State Capitol! Whether you’re a family on vacation “up-north” or visiting the campus of Northern Michigan University, the Downtown Marquette Farmers market makes for the perfect spot to slow down and smell the flowers (no, literally!). From May 18 to October 26, the market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and from June 19 to August 28, the market is also open from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.
