Blueberry Honey Syrup
Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup honey
- Juice from half of a lemon
Instructions
- Add 1/2 cup of water and the blueberries to the pot and apply low heat. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes. While the Blueberries are simmering you can crush them with a potato masher, or the back of a spoon, this will release the blueberries flavor faster.
- Strain the blueberry liquid through a fine mess strainer into a stainless steal or glass bowl. You are looking for about half a cup of liquid. If you have more than half a cup of liquid turn the heat back on and simmer until the extra liquid has evaporated.
- Add the ½ cup of honey into the blueberry liquid and stir to combine. Chill the blueberry honey syrup before use.
