This white bean hummus recipe was written for our partners at the Michigan Bean Commission by Chef/owner Frank Zamarripa of Latitudes Roadhouse in Howard City, Michigan. Your kids will enjoy it and you’ll feel good about the health benefits of locally-grown beans!
Michigan farmer Brenda Reau found this recipe for cowboy casserole probably 30 years ago and modified it some over the years. She shares that it’s “so easy and hearty on a cold day.”
This recipe comes from Abigail Wilson, Emily Wilson, Elizabeth Ratkos and Miriam Kepner. The team prepared the recipe for the Michigan State University Extension/Isabella County Farm Bureau Teen “Chopped” on November 3, 2018. The team earned the best presentation award for their creation.
